A multi-dimensional, electric archive, dedicated by and to lovers of Black Culture.
Centered in dark bodies of work, representing a multi-generational cadre of women photographers, poets, artists, activists & thinkers, each to be seen and reflected with awe and wonder—
The D’Archive is inspired by conversations with Zanele Muholi , Lindeka Qampi, and Renée Mussai, in recognition of the importance of knowing, telling, documenting, and heralding our own stories. All are welcome to explore and study the arts through interaction with the visionary work of these bold creators.
This site is created and curated by Andrea Walls of The Women’s Mobile Museum with support from Philadelphia Photo Arts Center. You may see more of her creative work at the Museum of Black Joy.
